The successful candidate will contribute to medical education, consultant-level clinical care, research, and academic leadership.
Role responsibilities
- Teach and assess undergraduate and postgraduate medical students; develop curriculum and mentor students.
- Supervise student research.
- Provide consultant-level inpatient, outpatient, and on-call clinical service at affiliated teaching hospitals, subject to credentialing and licensure.
- Develop collaborative research, publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, and pursue research funding.
- Participate in departmental, College, and University service and academic leadership.
Minimum qualifications
- MD, MBBS, or equivalent medical degree.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics and relevant subspecialty training, where applicable.
- Eligibility for Associate Professor or Professor appointment under UAEU academic criteria.
- Eligibility to obtain consultant-level professional licensure in the UAE.
- Experience in undergraduate and/or postgraduate medical education.
- Strong peer-reviewed publication record and active research profile.
Preferred qualifications
- Fellowship, board certification, or equivalent specialist certification from North America, Europe, Australia/New Zealand, or the United Kingdom.
- Sustained competitive research funding and research leadership.
- Experience in curriculum design, course leadership, student assessment, and quality assurance in medical education.
- Familiarity with international medical education standards, accreditation, and licensing examinations, including USMLE, Canadian qualifying examinations, or equivalent systems.
- Academic leadership, mentorship, and collaborative interdisciplinary work.
