UAEU's Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department is recruiting an Assistant/Associate Professor in Petroleum Engineering specializing in Petroleum Production Engineering.

Expected responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate Petroleum Production Engineering courses, including well performance, artificial lift systems, production optimization, and surface facilities.
- Establish a research program focused on production engineering, such as production optimization, sustainability, or emerging technologies.
- Seek internal and external funding for scholarly activities.
- Supervise capstone projects, master's theses, and potentially PhD dissertations.
- Collaborate with industry stakeholders and academic peers.
- Participate in committees, curriculum development, and other academic activities.
Minimum qualifications
- An earned doctorate in the applicable field.
- Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
Preferred qualifications
- A PhD in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field.
- Expertise and a strong publication record in Petroleum Production Engineering or related areas.
- Evidence of teaching excellence or potential at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Ability or potential to secure research funding.
- Industrial and professional experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
