The Finance Research Analyst/Research Assistant supports financial research, data analysis, market monitoring, and preparation of research materials.
The work supports investment research, business analysis, and informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Research companies, industries, financial markets, economic developments, and business trends using reliable reports, databases, filings, and publications.
- Analyze financial statements, company performance, market indicators, and financial metrics; ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Prepare financial models, research summaries, charts, reports, and presentations.
- Support valuation, competitor, industry, and market-development analysis.
- Turn complex information into clear insights and collaborate with finance, investment, and business teams on research and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Financial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, accounting principles, financial statements, and fundamental financial analysis.
- Familiarity with company, industry, and market research and economic indicators.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial databases, research tools, or data analysis platforms.
- Able to collect, organize, validate, and analyze quantitative and qualitative information.
Additional qualifications
- Financial modelling, valuation methods, and key financial ratios are advantageous.
- Strong research, analytical, numerical, critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail, ability to identify inconsistencies and trends, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Integrity and accuracy in handling financial information; proactive interest in markets, investment research, and business analysis.
