The Director provides strategic and operational leadership for assigned academic and administrative units at AlSalam University in Egypt.
The description states this is a full-time, on-site position in Al Gharbiyah, Egypt.
Responsibilities
- Set departmental goals and oversee academic programs, teaching, research, and community engagement.
- Manage budgets and resources; supervise and develop staff and faculty.
- Implement policies supporting student success and quality assurance.
- Coordinate with university leadership, foster external partnerships, and monitor performance metrics.
- Promote environmental service and community development; lead continuous improvement and uphold regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Represent the unit in internal and external committees and events.
Qualifications
- Leadership and management experience in higher education or a comparable institution; experience with strategic planning, policy implementation, and organizational development.
- Background in academic administration, quality assurance, program evaluation, research support, community outreach, and environmental or regional development.
- Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, decision-making, and change management skills.
- Relevant postgraduate degree, such as a Master’s or PhD, in a related discipline or educational management.
- Familiarity with Egyptian higher education regulation, accreditation, and institutional governance; integrity and commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered education.
- Delta region or similar experience is advantageous; proficiency in Arabic and English is also presented as advantageous.
