Role overview
The Regional Retail Design Project Manager leads retail design projects from concept through execution.
The role connects design, commercial, marketing, vendor, and construction partners to align retail environments with brand guidelines and business goals.
Projects span MEA markets and include shop-in-shops, wall units, and gondolas.
Key responsibilities
- Manage retail design projects across MEA markets and report to headquarters.
- Review 3D and technical drawings for brand and retailer guideline compliance and accurate execution.
- Brief the global projects team on new permanent spaces or adaptations requiring global validation.
- Liaise with retailers for vendor packs.
- Manage local agencies and suppliers and ensure quality production and installation on time.
- Obtain store-opening documentation and installation permits within deadlines.
- Track budgets, negotiate partner costs, and keep delivery within assigned budgets.
- Maintain timelines, identify risks, and propose solutions.
- Keep project trackers and report project status, budgets, and timelines to the Global Retail team.
- Coordinate with visual merchandising, marketing, commercial, and global retail teams.
Profile and qualifications
- Designer or architect background, with a degree or equivalent.
- At least five years of retail experience in perfume and cosmetics or luxury retail.
- Experience working across multiple countries and managing external suppliers and retailers.
- Excellent design, hand-sketching, and technical skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other CAD software; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Understanding of material properties, fabrication techniques, and manufacturing processes.
- English is mandatory; French and/or Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and solve problems proactively.
