Encourage guest participation in recreation activities and promote a fun, relaxing, safe environment.
Provide information about available facilities and activities, and maintain recreation equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, register, and schedule guests for recreation activities.
- Explain facility rules, monitor activity, respond to emergencies under local procedures, and notify a supervisor about unsafe participation.
- Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and communicate professionally.
- Process payments for rentals, recreation activities, facility rentals, and retail sales.
- Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, protect company assets, and meet quality standards.
Required qualifications
- CPR certification and First Aid certification are required.
- Recreation Equipment certification and any certifications or training required by local and state agencies are listed as required.
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- No related work experience or supervisory experience is required.
- Physical duties include extended standing, sitting, or walking; handling objects; and moving through confined, elevated, uneven, or slippery spaces.
Work skills
- Read and visually verify information and inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
- Use computers or point-of-sale systems to enter and locate work information.
- Develop positive working relationships and support common team goals.
