Medical Receptionist serving as a welcoming first point of contact and supporting daily medical clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients; answer calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments; register patients and maintain accurate records.
- Verify patient and insurance information when required; handle check-in and check-out.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff about appointments and patient requirements.
- Manage medical records, forms, referrals, and administrative documents.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and assist with billing; respond to emails and administrative communications.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and healthcare privacy practices; keep the reception and waiting area organized.
- Handle patient concerns courteously and refer medical questions to an appropriate healthcare professional; assist with clerical duties.
Requirements
- Previous medical or healthcare setting experience is mandatory; one year of medical clinic or hospital experience is required.
- Arabic and English are required, along with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good organization and time management, a professional telephone manner, basic computer and data-entry skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work calmly in a busy healthcare environment and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinic procedures is an advantage.
