Role overview

Core mobile engineering

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years with production React Native applications.
• Ability to manage the complete iOS and Android application lifecycle, including native builds, permissions, device testing, and store submissions.
• Deep understanding of mobile performance tuning, memory management, and rendering optimization.

API and backend integration

• Extensive experience connecting mobile frontends to backend services using RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
• Strong knowledge of network security, JWT or OAuth2 authentication, and offline-first storage mechanisms.

UI and UX

• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, accessibility standards, custom layouts, and smooth mobile animations.
• Experience collaborating directly with product designers to evaluate constraints and deliver high-quality user flows.

CI/CD and DevOps

• Hands-on experience configuring CI/CD automation for automated building, testing, and store releases.
• Experience managing TestFlight, Google Play Beta, or Firebase App Distribution environments and crash monitoring tools such as Sentry or Crashlytics.

Nice-to-have qualifications

• Hands-on experience with native iOS using Swift or Android using Kotlin.
• Familiarity with React Native’s New Architecture, including Fabric, TurboModules, or Hermes.
• Experience with automated mobile testing frameworks such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, or Detox.

Workplace

• The role is remote.

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable iOS and Android applications using React Native.
• Build, ship, and maintain production React Native applications.
• Manage native builds, permissions, device testing, and app store submissions across iOS and Android.
• Tune mobile performance, memory management, and rendering.
• Connect mobile frontends to backend services through RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
• Implement network security, token-based authentication, and offline-first storage mechanisms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and product designers to deliver accessible, high-quality mobile user flows.
• Configure CI/CD automation for mobile builds, testing, and store releases.
• Manage release testing environments and crash monitoring.
