Role overview

Core requirements

• Deep hands-on expertise with Redux state management, including Redux Toolkit, Redux-Saga, Redux-Thunk, middleware, selectors, and normalization patterns.
• Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Experience architecting and developing large-scale, component-based front-end applications.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous data flows.
• Hands-on experience with modern build tools such as Webpack and Vite.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization.
• Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and guiding front-end engineering teams.
• Experience evaluating and integrating AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex, scalable, high-performance React applications.
• Own front-end technical decisions regarding component architecture, code structure, performance optimization, scalability, and state management.
• Establish and enforce front-end coding standards, testing practices, and CI/CD workflows.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and rendering issues.
• Lead, mentor, and guide front-end teams, including technical design discussions and pairing sessions.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, UX/UI designers, and Product Managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive adoption of modern front-end tools and practices, including component libraries, design systems, and testing frameworks.
• Participate in technical planning, estimation, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development productivity and velocity.

Preferred experience

• Experience with Next.js or other React meta-frameworks is preferred.
• Familiarity with micro-front-end architectures is preferred.
• Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud platforms is preferred.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Experience with design systems, component libraries, and Storybook is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code is preferred.
• Agile/Scrum experience and collaboration with distributed/global teams, including teams across US time zones, are preferred.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills are sought for cross-functional and distributed team work.
