Experience and education
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, and application testing.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies.
Required QA skills and tools
- Skills include manual testing, test automation, ETL testing, data validation, regression, integration, smoke, and web and mobile testing.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, UiPath, and AI-assisted testing tools is listed.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Microsoft Test Manager, HP Quality Center, or similar ALM tools is required.
- Experience using UiPath or similar automation tools, and SharePoint and Microsoft Office applications, is required.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted QA tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms is requested.
Testing and automation
- Plan and execute end-to-end testing; develop test strategies, plans, cases, and scripts based on business and system requirements.
- Design, implement, and execute manual and automated tests; develop automation scripts and report results.
- Define regression strategies and perform smoke, functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Test web, mobile, and tablet applications across browsers, operating systems, and devices.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD and collaborate to improve automated test suites.
Quality delivery and collaboration
- Estimate test effort, support project planning, and contribute from requirements gathering through release.
- Manage defects, root cause analysis, defect validation, and the defect lifecycle.
- Maintain test plans, execution reports, incident reports, and QA metrics.
- Coordinate UAT and release validation; support production deployments and post-release validation.
- Work with business users, domain experts, developers, and product teams; support production and mentor or train QA colleagues.
Additional qualifications
- Experience with iterative, non-iterative, and hybrid SDLC models is requested.
- Experience working with offshore or nearshore delivery models is requested.
- Infrastructure, hardware, networking operations, and SaaS experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, stakeholder-management, problem-solving, and time-management skills are requested.
- Attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities, and willingness to learn emerging QA technologies are requested.
