Quantity Surveyor (Site Supervision)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor site activities for schedule, quality, and safety compliance.
• Prepare and manage project cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts.
• Administer contracts, including reviewing, negotiating, and enforcing terms and conditions.
• Process and evaluate variation orders, change requests, and claims; coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports; analyze performance data and recommend cost control and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain project records including contracts, invoices, and correspondence; assess risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, UAE regulations, and organizational policies; collaborate with project teams to resolve issues and improve delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 to 8 years of professional quantity surveying experience, including cost estimation and budget management.
• Advanced proficiency in cost estimation software, project management tools such as Primavera P6, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, construction law, and standard contract forms.
• Ability to analyze financial data, prepare forecasts, and manage project budgets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Large-scale or complex construction experience is highly preferred; relevant quantity surveying certifications or professional qualifications are preferred.

Workplace and onboarding

• The role includes site supervision and regular site inspections in Abu Dhabi.
• Newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
