Quantity Surveyor (Site Supervision)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Monitor site activities for schedule, quality, and safety compliance; conduct inspections and report progress.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts; analyze performance and recommend cost-control improvements.
• Administer contracts and assess variations, change requests, and claims.
• Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers for timely delivery and cost optimization.
• Maintain project records, assess risks, implement mitigations, and ensure compliance with UAE regulations and building codes.
• Work with project teams to resolve issues and improve delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 7 to 8 years of quantity surveying experience with cost estimation and budget management expertise.
• Advanced proficiency in cost-estimation software, project-management tools such as Primavera P6, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, construction law, and standard contract forms.
• Ability to analyze financial data, prepare forecasts, and manage project budgets.
• Collaborative communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with large-scale or complex construction projects is highly preferred.
• Relevant quantity surveying certifications or professional qualifications are preferred.

Workplace and onboarding

• The role's work location model is on-site.
• New hires must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office as a condition of employment.
