Role overview
Manage cost-related work across multiple concurrent interior fit-out projects, from initial estimates and take-offs through final settlements and variations.
Work with Project Managers and Project Engineers to keep projects within budget and optimize material costs and profitability.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare material and labor take-offs from architectural and MEP drawings for interior fit-out tenders and projects.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities, tender documentation, and cost comparisons for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Identify, price, and submit variations, extension-of-time claims, and client billing or payment applications.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations, prepare subcontract agreements, and measure and certify completed work for interim payment certificates.
- Monitor expenditure, prepare cost-value reconciliation reports, and track budgets against actual spending.
- Prepare, negotiate, and finalize subcontractor and client final accounts.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- 4–8 years of total experience, including at least 3 years in interior fit-out or finishing works in the UAE/GCC.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Quantity Surveying experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including advanced Excel, AutoCAD, and relevant QS or estimation software.
- Strong grasp of contractual conditions such as FIDIC.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and negotiation skills; ability to manage multiple fast-track projects.
- Valid UAE driving license is required.
- English and Sinhala are required.
Pay
- AED 5,000–7,000 per month.
