A residential fit-out contractor in Dubai is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator for its commercial team.
The role covers pre- and post-contract commercial activities from tender pricing and estimating through variations, valuations and final accounts.
Salary
- Salary is up to AED 20,000 per month.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare tenders, BOQs, detailed cost estimates, pricing and tender submissions.
- Carry out quantity take-offs from drawings and site measurements; review drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Obtain, review and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Monitor project costs and commercial performance; maintain cost reports and commercial documentation.
- Manage variations, claims and additional works; prepare interim payment applications.
- Manage subcontractor valuations and payments; assist with final accounts and project close-out.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors and provide commercial input throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator in Dubai fit-out or construction.
- Strong interior or residential fit-out experience and proven tender pricing and estimating experience.
- Strong knowledge of BOQs and quantity take-offs; good understanding of UAE material and labour rates.
- Experience managing variations, claims, final accounts, interim payment applications and subcontractor valuations.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills and excellent communication with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
