An internationally recognised architectural consultancy is seeking a Design Director – Masterplanning for its Dubai team.
The role leads major masterplanning projects, guiding design from initial concept through project delivery.

Role responsibilities
- Lead design direction for major masterplanning and urban design projects across the Middle East.
- Develop creative concepts and design strategies for large-scale, complex developments.
- Oversee design development and delivery, maintaining creative ambition through the project lifecycle.
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary design teams and foster design excellence.
- Communicate design vision with clients, stakeholders, and internal leadership.
- Contribute strategically to project pursuits, presentations, and business development.
Candidate qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Design or Masterplanning.
- 10+ years of experience in urban design, masterplanning, and architecture.
- Strong portfolio showing creativity, conceptual design ability, and delivery of complex masterplanning or urban design projects.
- Design leadership experience leading teams and managing projects from concept through delivery.
- Middle East project experience and understanding of the region’s development landscape and design expectations.
- Ability to balance creative design with practical delivery, client management, and commercial considerations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
