Role overview
Provides solutions to operational-discipline problems without supervisory approval, selecting among established operating and scientific procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a focal point for craft supervisors seeking current standards, codes, technical publications, inspection tools, and measuring instruments.
- Ensure inspection forms use a standard format and are completed monthly.
- Maintain quality records and relevant codes and standards.
- Coordinate facility or vessel corrective-action status with the administrative office.
- Help establish measurement of non-conformances, including production delays and unnecessary helicopter flights or vessel movements.
- Assist with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISM, and ISPS audit preparation and corrective-action closures.
- Help expedite quality-related facility issues and support facility and vessel KPI measurements.
- Maintain registers for ladders, below-hook lifting devices, corrective actions, training, and MSDS.
Qualifications and education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills.
- Organized and disciplined, with well-developed communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with operational management.
