Role overview
The Quality Operations Technician resolves operations-discipline problems using established operating and scientific procedures, without supervisory approval.
Responsibilities
- Provide craft supervisors with current standards, codes, technical publications, inspection tools, and measuring instruments.
- Standardize inspection forms and ensure monthly completion; maintain quality records and relevant codes and standards.
- Coordinate facility or vessel corrective action register status with the administrative office.
- Help measure non-conformances, including production delays and unscheduled helicopter flights or vessel movements.
- Assist with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISM, and ISPS audit preparation and corrective action closures, as directed.
- Help expedite facility quality issues and support facility and vessel KPI measurement.
- Maintain registers for ladders, below-hook lifting devices, corrective actions, training, and safety data sheets.
Qualifications and education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills; organized and disciplined approach.
- Well-developed communication skills and interpersonal ability to work effectively with operational management.
