Quality Control Manager

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project quality control plans, procedures, and inspection programs.
• Manage and lead the QC team, including QC Engineers and Inspectors.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable codes and standards.
• Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and quality documentation.
• Monitor site activities and ensure work is executed in accordance with approved quality standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams on quality-related matters.
• Conduct quality audits, inspections, and surveillance activities.
• Manage NCRs, corrective actions, preventive actions, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Monitor material approvals, testing activities, and laboratory reports.
• Prepare quality reports and present quality performance updates to management.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Quality Control within construction and infrastructure projects.
• At least 5 years of experience in a QC Manager role.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience in roads, utilities, infrastructure, buildings, and large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of quality standards, inspection procedures, testing requirements, and documentation.
• Experience in managing QA/QC teams and coordinating with clients and consultants.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to review and approve ITPs, Method Statements, and Quality Plans.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management documentation.
• Lead Auditor certification and relevant quality certifications will be an added advantage.
• GCC/Saudi Arabia experience preferred.
