The role identifies opportunities to improve quality and productivity.
It serves as a point of contact among quality, production, and engineering.
Responsibilities
- Manage off-tolerance products and analyze fundamental causes; manage quality improvement projects.
- Develop and provide employee training; ensure sensors and measuring instruments are calibrated and adjusted correctly.
- Monitor new products and components in production, produce monthly reports, and optimize and standardize machine settings.
- Reduce spoilage and act as the official backup for the QC Supervisor.
- Keep specifications up to date in the quality management system and recommend necessary specification changes to R&D.
Required qualifications and skills
- College or university degree and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and spoken French and English; strong analysis and synthesis skills and organizational ability.
- Comfort learning and mastering new software tools; team-oriented with a sense of initiative.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards is an asset; knowledge of SAP is an asset.
Location and work arrangement
- The role is based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and is explicitly not remote.
- The role is described as permanent.
