Find opportunities to improve quality and productivity.
Serve as a point of contact between quality, production, and engineering.
Responsibilities and duties
- Manage off-tolerance products and analyze fundamental causes.
- Manage quality improvement projects and provide employee training.
- Ensure sensors and measuring instruments are correctly calibrated and adjusted.
- Monitor new products and components in production and produce monthly reports.
- Optimize and standardize machine settings and adjustments, and reduce spoilage.
- Act as official backup for the QC Supervisor.
- Maintain quality-system specifications and recommend changes to R&D.
Required qualifications
- College or university degree.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 is an asset.
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
Skills and languages
- Strong analysis and synthesis skills; highly organized; comfortable learning new software tools; team-oriented and proactive.
- Excellent written and spoken French and English.
Location and work arrangement
- Montreal, Quebec, Canada; the role is explicitly not remote.
