Role Description
This is a part-time, hybrid Quality Assurance Manager role based in Abu Dhabi, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements.
The Quality Assurance Manager will develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures across waterproofing, flooring, structural repair, and insulation projects.
Responsibilities
include planning and conducting inspections and audits on job sites, reviewing project documentation, and ensuring compliance with internal standards, client specifications, and applicable regulations.
The role involves analyzing quality data, identifying root causes of defects or non-conformities, and leading corrective and preventive action plans with project and site teams.
The Quality Assurance Manager will prepare quality reports, maintain records, coordinate training on quality standards, and collaborate with operations, engineering, and HSE teams to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within construction, waterproofing, flooring, structural repair, or related building services.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and relevant industry standards, codes, and best practices.
- Ability to plan and conduct site inspections, audits, and testing procedures, with solid documentation and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams, contractors, and clients.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines on a part-time schedule.
- Comfort with basic digital tools for documentation, data analysis, and reporting (e.g., MS Office or similar software).
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field; relevant certifications in quality (e.g., CQE, internal auditor) are an advantage.
- Experience working in the UAE or GCC construction environment is a plus, including familiarity with local regulations and standards.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices in all quality-related activities.
