QHSE Manager

to lead and oversee the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental systems across all operations for our

  • Maintain the highest food quality and safety standards.
  • Minimize workplace accidents and operational risks.
  • Build a strong company-wide safety culture.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across all operations.
  • Support sustainable and efficient agricultural production.
  • Ensure accident prevention and industrial safety management.

Quality & Safety Management

  • Develop and implement QHSE policies, procedures, and standards for poultry operations.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, ISO standards, and Qatar food safety regulations.
  • Monitor poultry production processes to ensure product quality, hygiene, and food safety standards are maintained.
  • Supervise sanitation and cleaning programs across poultry facilities.
  • Ensure proper temperature control, cold chain monitoring, and product traceability.
  • Conduct routine inspections and internal audits of poultry farms, processing lines, storage areas, and transportation activities.
  • Investigate product quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with biosecurity measures to prevent contamination and disease risks.
  • Coordinate microbiological testing and quality control activities.
  • Provide positive leadership and promote the adoption of best practices.
  • Develop and enforce occupational health & safety policies to prevent workplace accidents and injuries.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments across farms, poultry facilities, warehouses, workshops, and offices.
  • Ensure proper implementation of safety procedures for machinery, equipment, chemicals, electrical systems, confined spaces, and lifting operations.
  • Monitor compliance with PPE requirements and safe working practices.
  • Promptly alert line and functional management to significant accidents and incidents.
  • Lead accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Review accident and incident reports, identify any trends, and ensure that there is an appropriate response to prevent future recurrence.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and site audits.
  • Organize emergency response plans, fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first aid readiness.
  • Ensure all employees, contractors, and visitors comply with safety regulations.
  • Develop and deliver safety induction programs and continuous employee training.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture that delivers positive commitment to and engage all employees in continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of QHSE Management system and progress against the QHSE performance standards and make recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
  • Monitor contractor safety performance and compliance.
  • Maintain records of incidents, near misses, inspections, and safety statistics.

Environmental Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
  • Monitor waste management, wastewater disposal, emissions, and environmental risks.
  • Implement environmentally responsible practices across all operations.
  • Support sustainability and resource optimization initiatives.
  • Comply with all applicable Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC)

and submit the required reports to MECC in accordance with Consent to Operate obligations.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with Qatar regulatory authorities and food safety requirements.
  • Prepare QHSE reports, KPIs, incident reports, and management presentations.
  • Coordinate external audits, inspections, and certification processes.
  • Maintain all QHSE documentation, records, permits, and certifications.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • **Local Hiring**
  • Minimum 4-10 years of experience in QHSE management.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • HACCP
  • ISO 22000
  • ISO 9001
  • ISO 45001
  • GMP & food safety systems
  • Occupational safety standards
  • Strong leadership, communication, and training skills.
  • Ability to manage multi-site operations and diverse teams.
