The role ensures electrical installations, materials, testing, and commissioning comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable UAE regulations.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor quality assurance and control procedures for electrical works.
- Inspect installations against approved drawings, specifications, and method statements, including applicable cables, trays, conduits, lighting, panels, switchgear, earthing, and lightning protection.
- Prepare, review, and implement ITPs, method statements, and quality control plans; coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals with project stakeholders.
- Review material submittals, technical specifications, and MIRs; prepare inspection requests and maintain reports, test records, approvals, and handover documentation.
- Monitor insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance, and other applicable tests; raise NCRs and follow up corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in audits, resolve quality issues, and support testing, commissioning, and final inspections.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of relevant UAE electrical QA/QC experience; experience in electrical construction, MEP, or related engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical installation, inspection, testing, and quality control procedures.
- Hands-on experience with ITPs, method statements, IRs, MIRs, NCRs, and quality documentation.
- Familiarity with applicable UAE authority requirements and relevant electrical standards.
- Communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills; ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams.
