QA/QC Engineer (Contracting)

Position overview

Job responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures; ensure site work complies with approved drawings, specifications, contracts, and UAE standards.
• Conduct site inspections; review and approve material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve quality issues.
• Prepare, monitor, and close NCRs, site observations, and corrective action reports; ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
• Conduct internal audits and close findings; maintain inspection records, reports, checklists, and project documentation.
• Monitor materials and workmanship, attend inspections, coordinate approvals, and implement preventive measures against quality risks, rework, and delays.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline and at least five years of UAE construction and contracting QA/QC experience.
• Hands-on experience in building construction and infrastructure projects; manufacturing-only, oil and gas-only, or unrelated-industry experience is not accepted.
• Thorough knowledge of UAE construction practices, standards, and authority requirements.
• Experience working with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
• Understanding of ISO 9001, QA/QC documentation, ITPs, WIRs, MIRs, and NCRs.
• Strong reporting, communication, and coordination skills; able to manage site quality requirements independently.

Preferred qualifications

• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification is preferred.
• Experience with major UAE construction projects is preferred; immediate joiners are preferred.
