QA/QC Engineer

Role overview

Quality assurance and inspection

• Implement project QA/QC plans and ensure compliance with approved specifications and UAE authority requirements.
• Review ITPs, method statements, material submittals, and quality procedures.
• Inspect potable and recycled water pipelines, including DI and HDPE pipes.
• Monitor excavation, pipe laying, jointing, valve chambers, backfilling, compaction, concrete works, and road reinstatement.

Testing, documentation, and coordination

• Coordinate and witness pressure and leakage testing, flushing, disinfection, and commissioning.
• Prepare and follow up on IRs, MIRs, NCRs, corrective actions, and quality documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and third-party testing agencies.
• Maintain inspection records, test reports, material certificates, and handover documents; ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant QA/QC experience in water pipeline and civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in potable water and recycled water networks.
• Knowledge of UAE authority standards, inspection procedures, pressure testing, disinfection, and commissioning requirements.
• Able to read construction drawings, manage quality records, and coordinate inspections independently; proficient in MS Office and quality reporting.
• Experience with TAQA, ETIHAD WE, or similar UAE water utility authority projects is highly preferred.
• ISO 9001:2015 awareness or auditor certification is an advantage.
