The Purchasing Supervisor reports to the Purchasing Manager and works with Receiving, Storeroom, Finance, Cost Control, and operational teams.
The Purchasing team supports hotel operations through timely procurement, supplier partnerships, inventory management, and purchasing processes.
Role responsibilities
- Support daily procurement by sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating delivery of goods and services across the hotel.
- Maintain relationships with approved suppliers and identify alternative sources to maximize value and quality.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, and storage practices to maintain readiness and minimize waste.
- Work with Receiving, Storeroom, and Cost Control to maintain accurate inventory records and compliance.
- Prepare quotations, price comparisons, bid analyses, and purchasing reports.
- Ensure purchasing complies with company policies, HACCP requirements, and operational standards.
Candidate qualifications
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or supply chain operations in hospitality or a similar industry.
- Strong organization, ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and excellent attention to detail.
- Commitment to accuracy, compliance, and cost control; confidence in supplier relationships, negotiations, and procurement administration.
- Comfort with inventory systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent English; additional language skills are an advantage.
