- Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies for local and international sourcing
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to secure the best value
- Review and manage supplier contracts to ensure performance and compliance
- Build and maintain strong, long-term vendor relationships
- Evaluate quotations and conduct cost/value analysis before approving purchase orders
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and services
- Perform risk assessments on suppliers, contracts, and procurement processes
- Manage and control procurement budgets, focusing on cost optimization
- Lead and supervise the purchasing team, ensuring efficient operations
- Maintain an updated database of suppliers, pricing, and contracts
- Handle supplier issues including quality concerns, defects, and shortages
- Monitor and manage inventory levels in coordination with stores/warehouse
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth flow of materials for production/projects
- Provide regular updates to management on procurement activities and performance
