Purchasing Manager in the hospitality and hotel sector, responsible for procurement operations, supplier relationships, cost optimization, and inventory management.
The role aims to maintain quality standards and operational efficiency across hotel purchasing.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement for F&B, housekeeping, engineering, and general hotel supplies.
- Evaluate suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing, quality, and payment terms.
- Develop cost-saving strategies and oversee F&B purchasing, food cost control, market comparisons, and supplier performance.
- Monitor stock movement, inventory, and purchasing budgets to minimize waste and overstocking.
- Manage requisitions, purchase orders, quotations, supplier contracts, procurement approvals, and financial controls.
- Coordinate with Finance, F&B, Kitchen, Housekeeping, and other departments to meet operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, generate procurement and savings reports, and use hotel purchasing and inventory systems effectively.
Candidate requirements
- At least 5 years of purchasing experience; 2–3 years in hotel procurement is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of F&B purchasing, supplier negotiation, cost control, and inventory management.
- Experience with BirchStreet, Oracle MICROS, Material Control, or similar hotel procurement systems.
- Strong understanding of UAE hospitality suppliers and local market pricing.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and vendor management skills; able to manage multiple requirements and deadlines.
- Experience in 4-star or 5-star hotels or multi-property hospitality groups is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay starts at AED 8,000 per month.
