Purchase Officer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Procure project-related materials, tools, machinery, equipment, and services independently.
• Source local and international suppliers and maintain preferred supplier lists.
• Follow up on inquiries and negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery, freight, and logistics.
• Prepare comparative statements, LPOs, and IPOs for management approval.
• Coordinate supplier deliveries, international shipments, customs clearance, and local logistics.
• Coordinate heavy equipment, transportation, site deliveries, unloading, and storage.
• Check purchased materials against quality, quantity, and specification standards.
• Prepare landed cost calculations and resolve defects, shortages, missing parts, and delivery discrepancies.
• Coordinate supplier invoices and payments with Accounts.
• Maintain procurement records, documentation, and supplier files.
• Identify cost reduction, process improvement, and supplier management opportunities.
• Perform other procurement and administrative duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• 3–5 years of relevant UAE purchasing or procurement experience.
• Experience in construction, marine, engineering, or contracting is preferred.
• Strong supplier negotiation and sourcing skills.
• Good knowledge of local and international procurement and logistics.
• Experience with LPOs, IPOs, comparative statements, and supplier coordination.
• Strong follow-up, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple project requirements.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 5,000–7,000 per month.

Workplace

• Work location is in person in Ras al-Khaimah.
• Candidates must be able to commute to or relocate to Ras al-Khaimah before starting work.
