Role summary
Supports the procurement team with sourcing materials, obtaining quotations, preparing purchase orders, coordinating suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with daily procurement activities and process purchase orders based on approved requirements.
- Request supplier quotations and compare prices, quality, and delivery terms; communicate with suppliers about availability, pricing, schedules, and payment terms.
- Follow up on pending orders and help ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain purchase records, supplier information, quotations, and invoices.
- Coordinate material requirements with warehouse, accounts, sales, and other departments.
- Check delivered materials against purchase orders and delivery notes; monitor stock and support replenishment.
- Update procurement data in ERP systems and MS Excel.
- Assist with supplier evaluation, maintain supplier relationships, and resolve basic discrepancies.
- Prepare purchasing reports when required and follow company policies and procedures.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, procurement, commerce, or a related field.
- Relevant purchasing experience; the posting specifies 1–2 years.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Good understanding of procurement and purchasing processes.
- Good communication and negotiation skills; good English communication skills.
- Knowledge of ERP/SAP is an advantage.
Pay
- AED 1,800–2,300 per month.
