Role overview

Lead project risk management activities and reporting, including risk planning, assessment, mitigation, and database ownership.

Risk management duties

  • Develop risk management standards, policies, and procedures and establish program risk plans.
  • Identify, assess, monitor, and report project risks.
  • Conduct risk workshops and execution-phase assessments with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Prepare risk reports for project managers, monthly reports for client representatives, and ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Review risk scoring and mitigation plans and maintain project risk registers.
  • Monitor management actions by risk owners and train project staff in risk awareness.
  • Own the risk database.
  • Prepare and implement construction project risk plans covering identification, evaluation, and mitigation.
  • Follow applicable quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or management from an accredited university.
  • At least 20 years of engineering and/or project management experience, including risk management on large-scale projects.
  • Experience identifying problems, assessing alternatives, and determining solutions, with initiative to work without immediate supervision.
  • Proven knowledge of commercial risk management practices and procedures; relevant cluster experience is preferred.
  • Experience quantifying cost, schedule, quality, and safety risks.
  • Experience maintaining risk management databases, such as ARM, and applying corporate risk procedures.
  • International work experience; KSA experience is preferred.
