Project Manager / Sr Construction Manager

Role overview

Execution and schedule

• Execute works according to approved drawings, specifications, standards, and Inspection and Test Plans; follow appropriate construction sequences and procedures.
• Plan to meet baseline targets, monitor progress and productivity, anticipate constraints, and prepare recovery and mitigation programs for delays.
• Manage manpower, materials, plant, and machinery; ensure timely procurement, track productivity, and adjust resources as needed.

Coordination, quality, and safety

• Coordinate trades, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors; certify work completion reports and support resolution of productivity bottlenecks.
• Lead and develop subordinates, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Maintain quality compliance, prevent rework, and update quality checklists and records.
• Enforce safety standards and site housekeeping and promote a strong safety culture.

Cost, improvement, and reporting

• Control material wastage, reconcile consumed and estimated quantities, and implement cost-control measures.
• Propose value engineering and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain complete construction documentation, checklists, records, reports, and logs.

Technical scope

• The role handles structural and finishing works in high-rise towers or large-scale projects.
• Required technical capabilities include construction methods, sequencing, standards, resource planning, scheduling, and productivity analysis.

Experience and education

• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Requires 10 to 15 years of total experience in commercial, residential, or mixed-use buildings; more than 8 years of UAE experience is preferred.
• Experience with a contracting or real estate development company and at least two residential building projects completed from start to handover as Construction Manager is required.
• Mid-rise or high-rise project experience is preferred.

Software and local knowledge

• AutoCAD and Excel proficiency are required.
• Strong knowledge and experience with UAE authority requirements are required.
