Project Manager (IT)

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Define project objectives, scope, schedules, resources, physical assets, timelines, and expectations.
• Manage cross-functional project teams and stakeholders across the organization and time zones; anticipate and manage change.
• Develop project plans, align activities and priorities, and provide status updates and key deliverables.
• Identify and manage risks; determine courses of action on complex issues and moderately complex decisions.
• Own project progress, scope, and budget; follow change management processes to address deviations from baselines.
• Organize IT demand and help sequence work and maintain accountability for projects, enhancements, and recurring incidents.
• Deliver Canadian IT projects in accordance with PMI best practices and DP World project management guidelines.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, business administration, finance, or a related area.
• At least five years of Project Manager experience in capital-intensive industries.
• IT knowledge focused on ERP and Maintenance Management Systems, for example Oracle Fusion and Maximo.
• Experience in at least three of maintenance, procurement, financial, and HR processes.
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile project environments and business process design.
• Experience facilitating group meetings; fluent in English.
• Previous Canadian work experience or direct experience working with Canadian industries.
