Maximo Functional Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Support and train Canadian users, answer questions, explain functionality, and troubleshoot Maximo issues.
• Gather, document, and validate requirements with terminal operations and supporting functions.
• Analyze maintenance and asset-management processes and identify process and platform improvements.
• Assess configuration issues and coordinate escalation with technical support or Group Technology.
• Support MAS 8/9 Assets, Maintenance, Inventory, Purchasing, and Mobile modules.
• Define integration requirements, validate outcomes, and coordinate with technical teams.
• Maintain requirements, process flows, functional specifications, test scenarios, user guidance, and support records.
• Coordinate functional and user acceptance testing, document results, and support production deployment.
• Coordinate with Canadian and global stakeholders, vendors, and teams across Vancouver, Dubai, India, and Americas time zones.
• Follow support, change, documentation, security, and service-management standards and improve the Maximo service.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant technical diploma in IT, business analysis, engineering, maintenance management, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of hands-on support experience with IBM Maximo 7.6 and/or Maximo Application Suite 8/9 in a functional analyst, business analyst, or functional consultant role.
• Functional and technical understanding of Maximo configurations, issues, and technical-team coordination.
• Working knowledge of Assets, Maintenance, Inventory, Purchasing, and Mobile modules and understanding of integrations and data flows.
• Strong business analysis, stakeholder engagement, process analysis, process mapping, and functional documentation skills.
• Experience with functional and user acceptance testing and controlled production transitions.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, user training, and independent collaboration skills across locations and time zones.
• Fluent written and spoken English; previous Canadian work experience or direct Canadian industry experience is requested.

Additional technical capabilities

• Oracle Fusion, Maximo Integration Framework, Maximo Mobile, or IoT meter integrations are assets.
• Maximo configuration, application changes, workflow enhancements, and automation-script performance tuning are assets.
• Maximo Integration Framework design and development, XML integrations, and data conversion or migration are assets.
• OpenShift, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, IBM WebSphere, clustering, and JMS queues are assets.
• Java/J2EE, SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, automation scripts, LDAP, Kerberos single sign-on, and enterprise authentication are assets.
• IBM Maximo, Maximo Application Suite, deployment, infrastructure, or asset-management certifications are assets.
