Project Manager, Electrical Substation Works

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Manage planning, execution, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical substation projects.
• Lead project teams, subcontractors, and site personnel to achieve objectives within budget and schedule.
• Coordinate with TAQA, consultants, clients, and utility authorities for approvals, inspections, and energization.
• Monitor progress, costs, risks, and resource utilization.
• Ensure compliance with TAQA standards, UAE regulations, and HSE requirements.
• Review and approve engineering designs, technical submissions, method statements, and project documentation.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of transformers, switchgear, RMUs, protection systems, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Prepare project reports and maintain stakeholder communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in electrical substation and power distribution projects.
• Proven experience managing 11kV/33kV substation projects in the UAE.
• TAQA Certification/Classification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of utility standards, project management, testing, commissioning, and energization procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• PMP Certification is an advantage.
• EPC, utility infrastructure, and power distribution project experience is preferred.
• Understanding of project controls, budgeting, scheduling, and contract management is preferred.
