Activities
- Lead and manage drilling and grouting projects, including anchors, micropiles, and ground improvement works, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Plan, organize, and oversee all site operations, including mobilization, resource allocation, and execution strategies.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure project requirements and technical specifications are met.
- Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and technical submittals related to drilling and grouting activities.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, and performance, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and control expenditures to maintain profitability.
- Oversee subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring work quality and adherence to contractual terms.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, including technical, operational, and commercial risks.
- Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Handle contractual matters, including variations, claims, and extensions of time.
- Support tendering and business development activities by providing technical input and project planning expertise.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all project activities.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE policies on site.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in drilling and grouting works, including anchors and micropiles.
- Proven experience in managing geotechnical or foundation engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of drilling techniques, grouting methods, and ground engineering practices.
- Experience in project planning, cost control, and contract management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, MS Excel).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with local construction regulations, codes, and standards in the UAE.
- Professional certification (e.g., PMP) is an advantage.
