Project Manager – AI Infrastructure & Platforms

  • leads end to end delivery of complex AI infrastructure, platform, and technology transformation initiatives from planning through operational handover.
  • The role combines strong governance discipline, technical awareness, and stakeholder management to deliver consistent outcomes across multi-workstream environments.
  • Scope of Delivery:
  • Lead delivery of AI infrastructure environments: data center readiness, compute, GPU infrastructure, storage, networking, virtualization, container platforms, and enterprise integrations.
  • Maintain control of milestones, dependencies, risks, budgets, and client commitments across the full project lifecycle.
  • Drive disciplined planning, RAID management, change control, executive reporting, and stakeholder engagement within a structured Project Delivery Framework.
  • Coordinate vendor management, implementation readiness, deployment governance, operational transition, and client acceptance activities

Delivery Leadership

  • Serve as primary delivery owner, representing the company in governance, steering, and escalation forums.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams to align technical, operational, and client-facing activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Planning & Controls

  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans: schedules, milestones, dependencies, critical paths, resourcing, and acceptance criteria.
  • Drive RAID management, change control, milestone governance, and executive reporting.
  • Monitor performance against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and contractual commitments.
  • Track project financials including budget burn, vendor payment milestones, procurement status, and change requests.
  • Ensure compliance with PMO frameworks, governance processes, and reporting standards.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Manage client governance forums, steering committees, and executive reviews; handle challenging stakeholder situations professionally.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, OEMs, data center providers, and network/ISP partners to maintain aligned delivery schedules.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints ensuring mitigation and recovery plans are in place.
  • Drive structured weekly status meetings, dashboards, and reporting for internal and external leadership stakeholders.

Deployment & Handover

  • Manage deployment readiness: data center preparedness for power, cooling, racks, structured cabling, security, and connectivity.
  • Align design and engineering approvals with finance, procurement, legal, logistics, deployment, and cutover planning.
  • Oversee logistics, rack-and-stack, integration activities, and coordination with physical data center teams.
  • Own milestone sign-off and formal acceptance gates, ensure timely client endorsement of delivery milestones.
  • Maintain auditable acceptance trail that governs vendor payment releases

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • PMP certification required; PRINCE2 is also acceptable.
  • ITIL and/or relevant data center or cloud certifications (e.g. CDCP, CCNA, AWS, VMware) are an advantage.
  • Experience
  • 5-8 years of IT project management experience, with at least 5 years leading complex technology, infrastructure, or data center delivery programs.
  • Arabic-speaking candidates are strongly preferred; fluency in English is required.
  • Proven track record delivering infrastructure, cloud, data center, AI platform, or enterprise transformation projects.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-vendor environments involving OEMs, system integrators, logistics providers, client PMOs, and enterprise clients.
  • Experience working with UAE-based vendors and suppliers is highly preferred.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of GPU infrastructure, Kubernetes/OpenShift, storage, networking, virtualization, and deployment readiness.
  • Good knowledge of physical data center build-out phases: power, cooling, racks, structured cabling, compute, storage, and networking.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (L2/L3, routing, WAN, VLANs); InfiniBand/RoCE is an advantage.
  • Proficient in project planning tools such as Microsoft Planner, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent platforms.

  • Strong governance, RAID, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage project financials: budget tracking, milestone payments, procurement timelines, and change requests.
  • Effective communicator with senior executives and technical teams alike.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced delivery environments; able to manage escalations and drive structured governance.

Delivery Excellence

  • Deliver projects within approved scope, schedule, quality, and budget baselines.
  • Achieve client acceptance and operational handover milestones.
  • Maintain predictable delivery through disciplined planning and governance.

Governance & Controls

  • Full compliance with PMO delivery framework, reporting standards, and governance processes.
  • Project artifacts, RAID logs, action registers, dependency trackers, and change controls remain current and audit ready.
  • Delivery risks proactively identified and escalated before impacting client commitments.

Client Confidence

  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders.
  • Maintain transparent communication and professional management of challenging situations.
  • Achieve positive client feedback throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Vendor Performance

  • Ensure vendor deliverables, milestones, and contractual obligations are met.
  • Manage supplier risks, dependencies, and escalations effectively

Executive Visibility

  • Provide concise, accurate, and actionable reporting to leadership.
  • Enable informed decision-making through timely project insights.
