The employer seeks an experienced project manager for water desalination plant projects.
The role is responsible for delivery to quality and safety standards, on schedule, and within the approved budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of project management experience.
- Proven hands-on experience constructing and delivering water desalination plants.
- Good knowledge of contract and tender management and cost control.
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants.
- Experience preparing and tracking project schedules and managing risks.
- Strong familiarity with quality and occupational health and safety standards.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English; Arabic is an added advantage.
Key responsibilities
- Lead desalination plant projects from planning through final handover.
- Oversee design and construction work for compliance with technical specifications.
- Manage project resources and the project team to meet performance goals.
- Track progress and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Coordinate with government entities, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and applicable regulations.
- Resolve operational challenges and make decisions to maintain project continuity.
