Lead legal and contractual matters throughout the project lifecycle, from tendering and negotiation to financial close, implementation, operations, and compliance.
Protect the company's interests and ensure effective legal risk management.
Responsibilities
- Review requests for qualifications and proposals, project agreements, legal risks, qualifications, and contractual deviations.
- Draft and negotiate NDAs, MoUs, consortium, joint venture, shareholder, and SPV agreements.
- Lead legal negotiations for PPP, BOT/BOOT, concession, EPC, O&M, and financing-related agreements.
- Support contract administration, variations, claims, disputes, contractual amendments, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, contractual obligations, corporate governance, and required approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage external legal advisors and provide strategic legal advice to management and project teams.
Functional skills and knowledge
- Strong expertise in infrastructure, PPP, EPC, concession, and O&M contracts.
- Contract drafting and negotiation, project finance, and dispute resolution.
- Knowledge of Saudi legislation, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Law; an LL.M. is advantageous.
- Qualified legal professional with 12–15 years of relevant experience.
- Proven infrastructure project experience from tendering through implementation and operations.
- Water, wastewater, utilities, and Saudi PPP experience is preferred.
Interpersonal skills
Strong negotiation, analytical skills, and commercial judgment.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management.
Ability to work across multidisciplinary and international teams.
