Project Executive – BAS/BMS - Hyperscale Data Center projects

Role Overview
Lead delivery of large-scale building automation, EPMS, and mission-critical controls projects in complex commercial and data center environments.
Oversee projects from planning and client coordination through execution, commissioning, and final turnover.
Serve as a senior leader responsible for operational excellence, financial performance, team development, and long-term client relationships.
Location and Travel
- Candidates may be based anywhere in the United States.
- Travel up to 50% is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-lifecycle execution of multiple BAS, EPMS, SCADA, and controls projects.
- Manage forecasting, budgeting, billing accuracy, and cash flow.
- Drive schedule, safety, quality, procurement, and client satisfaction.
- Lead client escalations, executive meetings, contract discussions, and change-order negotiations.
- Mentor project managers, engineers, and field leadership teams.
- Review technical documentation, including submittals, RFIs, commissioning plans, and schedules.
- Ensure contractual and safety compliance across projects.
Required Experience
- 10+ years in building automation, controls, mission-critical construction, or MEP project environments.
- Experience leading large or complex projects in a senior project management or executive-level role.
- Strong knowledge of BAS/BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and integrated control systems.
- Experience managing contracts, subcontractors, project financials, and change-order workflows.
- Leadership ability, accountability, and strong client relationship skills.
- Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Project.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mission-critical or data center experience is highly preferred.
- Hyperscale or colocation data center project experience is preferred.
- Experience with advanced cooling, power monitoring, or AI-driven infrastructure is preferred.
- PMP certification, PE license, or an engineering background is a plus.
Compensation
- Salary is $200,000 to $225,000 per year.
