Role Overview
We’re looking for a sharp, fast-thinking Project Estimator who can take a sketch, mockup, or drawing and turn it into a **clear, accurate, and profitable quotation,** quickly.
Key Responsibilities Estimation & Costing
- Analyze **sketches, concept designs, shop drawings, and BOQs** to determine project scope
- Prepare **detailed material take-offs** (MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, hardware, finishes, etc.)
- Calculate **accurate costs** based on current UAE market rates for materials, labor, and subcontracting
- Factor in production time, installation requirements, and site conditions
Quotation Management
- Prepare and deliver **fast, accurate, and professional quotations**
- Ensure all quotes are **commercially competitive while maintaining margins**
- Revise quotations quickly based on client feedback or design changes
- Work closely with sales to improve win rates through smarter pricing
Supplier & Market Coordination
- Source **up-to-date pricing** from suppliers and vendors
- Build and maintain a reliable **supplier network** for competitive rates
- Stay updated on **market fluctuations** in materials and labor costs
Technical Coordination
- Interpret drawings and identify missing details or potential costing risks
- Coordinate with production and site teams to validate feasibility
- Highlight cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
Requirements
- **3+ years experience** as an estimator in joinery, fit-out, or carpentry works
- Strong understanding of:
- Joinery materials and finishes
- Manufacturing processes and installation methods
- Ability to read and interpret **technical drawings and sketches**
- Proven experience in **material take-offs and cost estimation**
- Strong proficiency in **Excel** (fast and accurate)
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver quotations quickly without errors
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
