Role overview

Project delivery

• Oversee fire safety projects, including system design, risk assessments, and compliance with local regulations and international standards such as NFPA and ADCD.
• Collaborate on fire alarm, fire suppression, and sprinkler designs; oversee installation of fire pumps, sprinklers, alarms, and extinguishers.
• Lead teams and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders for timely, cost-effective completion.
• Inspect and test installed systems, verify performance and compliance, and troubleshoot issues during and after installation.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of fire protection systems.
• Maintain schedules, budgets, progress reports, quality documents, and health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Liaise with clients, provide technical advice and project updates, and address concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor expenses and resource allocation to meet allocated budgets.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience as a Project Engineer in the fire and safety field; proven experience with fire and safety systems.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarms, fire pumps, sprinkler systems, and fire suppression systems.
• Familiarity with local and international fire safety codes, standards, and regulations, including NFPA and ADCD.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work under pressure; leadership and multidisciplinary team coordination experience.
• Problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills; proactive approach to safety and quality.
• Proficiency with project management software and MS Office.
• Relevant fire safety systems certification, such as NEBOSH or IOSH, is highly preferred.
• UAE driver's license is preferred.
