Project Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities and ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, and authority requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders; monitor progress, manpower, materials, and equipment against deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health and safety, and local authority requirements.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and inspection requests; arrange inspections and coordinate approvals.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain project documentation; identify site issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Plan and execute concrete casting and other major construction activities.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 3–5 years of UAE construction experience; building construction experience is preferred.
• Previous construction project experience in Ras Al Khaimah is mandatory.
• Valid engineer approval or registration from the relevant RAK authority, as applicable to the project, is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction standards, authority regulations, and approval procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings; site management, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Experience coordinating with RAK authorities and consultants, and knowledge of planning, procurement, quality control, and site inspections are preferred.
• AutoCAD and Microsoft Office proficiency are preferred; project planning software knowledge is an advantage.
