Key responsibilities
- Review project specifications, BOQs, and drawings to identify material requirements.
- Prepare RFQs, obtain competitive quotations, evaluate offers, and create comparison sheets.
- Source suppliers and subcontractors in the UAE; negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Issue LPOs, monitor deliveries, and coordinate material planning and stock levels with project teams.
- Check materials against project specifications and quality standards; maintain procurement and supplier records.
- Assist with procurement budgets and cost forecasts, resolve supplier issues, and comply with company, HSE, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- The source describes fresh graduates with native experience or candidates with 2 years of UAE construction procurement experience; the phrase “Native Experience” is unclear.
- Strong knowledge of UAE construction material suppliers, market pricing, civil materials, specifications, and standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ERP knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, communication, vendor-management, analytical, and multitasking abilities; able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
