Planning Engineer

Role overview

Planning and scheduling

• Assist in preparing baseline programs using Primavera P6 or MS Project and update schedules based on site progress.
• Report schedule deviations and delays; assist with critical paths and milestone analysis.
• Support resource histograms, manpower curves, and cash flow forecasts.

Progress reporting and coordination

• Collect progress data with site teams, engineers, and subcontractors and verify actual performance.
• Participate in weekly and monthly progress reports and prepare S-curves, productivity analyses, and performance reports.
• Attend planning meetings to discuss progress and corrective measures.

Project controls and records

• Support tracking variations, delays, and EOT claims under guidance.
• Maintain planning records and project files.
• Contribute to compliance with company policies, safety standards, and contractual requirements.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 0–3 years of relevant project planning experience; UAE construction buildings-project experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or MS Project; understanding of construction drawings, BOQ, and WBS.
• Good analytical and time management skills; strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of FIDIC or similar contract terms is an advantage.
