Role overview

Project coordination and support

• Coordinate and supervise service and project work, liaising with field staff and ordering materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure work meets industry and Canem standards and safety requirements.
• Assist project managers with price, cost, and budget estimates; track and administer change orders.
• Support communication with customers, suppliers, and electrical engineering consultants; estimate and manage small jobs.
• Monitor and report job billing and status monthly, and prepare billings according to company standards.
• Assist with project closeout and compile electrical manuals.
• Provide administrative support including contracts, permits, purchase orders, file maintenance, and customer portal updates.
• Participate in pre-planning and project preparation.

What the employer is looking for

• 1–3 years of project coordination experience.
• A CofQ in electrical or mechanical trades (including plumbing, pipe fitting, or HVAC), or one of the stated engineering technology, engineering, construction, or construction management education credentials.
• General construction knowledge, including blueprint reading.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Mechanical and electrical project experience is preferred; estimating software experience is an asset.
