Parsons is hiring a Project Controls Manager to lead a team overseeing phases of mission-critical projects or programs.
Planning and project controls
- Manage and review contractor schedules for compliance, and work with contractors on delivery, recovery, and mitigation plans.
- Develop detailed schedules with resource and cost loading and maintain design-project deliverable lists with project or engineering managers.
- Implement deliverable-based progress measurement and coordinate periodic updates with leads.
- Apply Earned Value Management to schedule and cost performance; maintain weekly project- and sector-level Earned Value Analysis dashboards.
Construction, reporting, and proposals
- Review contractor construction schedules, monitor progress against accepted programs, and report to the Project Manager.
- Prepare weekly and/or monthly construction progress reports.
- Develop schedules supporting proposals for new pursuits.
- Attend internal and external meetings to discuss or present schedule and progress matters.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
- At least 20 years of planning and scheduling experience using Primavera Project Management P6.
- Proven experience using Earned Value Management for performance analysis and reporting.
- Fluent written and spoken English, with effective communication skills.
Desired skills
- Ability to represent Parsons in client meetings and presentations.
- Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel, including creating and maintaining complex spreadsheets.
- Proven ability to perform in a managerial capacity and thorough knowledge of industry practices.
