Program Manager

Bowhead seeks a Program Manager for an upcoming Navy proposal effort PAE Maritime GEM in Washington, D.C.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

• Ensures that all required resources such as engineering, manpower, production, computer time, facilities and the like are available for the program.
• Plans, directs and monitors program budget and serves as primary customer contact for program information.
• May be responsible for business development within current customer base and/or for new customers.
• May be responsible for programs of a lesser dollar value if they are more complex or developmental in nature.
• Program complexity is the primary criteria for leveling, and dollar value of programs is secondary.
• Other Duties as assigned
• A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering scientific, business, or technical discipline.
• PMP certification required.
• Fifteen (15) years professional experience in program/project management in DOD acquisition; or Fifteen (15) years professional experience in program/project management in Navy acquisition
• Five (5) years of Supervisory experience; experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel
• Experience with DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); Naval Science and Technology (S&T) Strategies and Future Naval Capabilities (FNC) programs; Foreign Military Sales highly desired
• Must be able to multi-task, manage priorities and work independently with little direction.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Targeted salary range is 140,000/annually to 180,000/annually based on qualifications and experience.

• Must be able to lift 25 pounds on occasion.
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged period amounts of time.
• Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level.
