Job Purpose
- To lead and supervise production activities during assigned shifts, ensuring that production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and with the required quality standards.
- The Shift Leader is responsible for managing team performance, coordinating resources, resolving issues on the floor, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise production staff during assigned shifts and ensure smooth operations.
- Allocate tasks and monitor team performance to meet production goals.
- Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Monitor product quality and coordinate with quality control for inspections.
- Report production output, downtime, and shift activities to management.
- Coordinate with maintenance and logistics teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Train and mentor operators to improve skills and productivity.
- Implement and monitor shift schedules, attendance, and discipline.
- Escalate major production or staffing issues to higher management.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in production processes.
Qualifications
- and Education Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Training in production supervision or lean manufacturing is an advantage.
Experience
- and Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in production or manufacturing, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of production processes, machinery, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication in English and Arabic.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
