Job Purpose
- To ensure a safe and healthy workplace by implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- The HSE Officer is responsible for compliance with local regulations, risk assessments, incident investigations, and promoting a strong safety culture within the company.
- Roles and Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and standards across the facility.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Monitor workplace hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare reports.
- Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct HSE induction and training sessions for employees and contractors.
- Promote safety awareness campaigns and programs.
- Maintain documentation and records of HSE activities and incidents.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and preparedness activities.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities regarding safety compliance.
Qualifications
- and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- NEBOSH / OSHA or equivalent HSE certification required.
Experience
- and Skills
- 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
- Experience in risk assessment and incident investigation.
- Good reporting and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and training skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management systems.
- Bilingual (Arabic & English) preferred.
